The Future of Fashion & Sustainability

Join Isabella Rose Davey, COO of Copenhagen Fashion Week, Olya Kuryshchuk, Editor-in-Chief of 1 Granary, and Emily Chan, Senior Sustainability & Features Editor at British Vogue, as they explore how emerging talent is driving the shift toward sustainable fashion. This panel will also discuss the evolving role of fashion weeks in promoting eco-conscious design and the future of fashion and sustainability. Hear from industry leaders working to foster innovative approaches that shape a more responsible fashion future.

Isabella Rose Davey is the COO at Copenhagen Fashion Week under the leadership of CEO Cecilie Thorsmark. Within Copenhagen Fashion Week Isabella oversees the strategic growth of CPHFW to its global positioning as the 5th international fashion week, of which under the leadership of Thorsmark has led CPHFW to be a figurehead in enacting positive and ambitious change in the fashion industry. Alongside this role Isabella has consulted for the likes of Woolmark and writes for a number of publications across design, culture and fashion including Modern Weekly and Vogue Scandinavia. Prior to this role Isabella headed up Emerging Talent at the British Fashion Council, overseeing the likes of NEWGEN, one of the world’s leading talent incubators, Fashion Arts Foundation (a charity dedicated to connecting the fashion industry with the wider arts landscape), and Fashion Film (a bursary scheme celebrating film as an expressive medium for fashion innovators that commissioned works from the likes of Aries and Thames) and creating the show schedule for London Fashion Week and London Fashion Week Men’s. Her passion for emerging visionaries has seen her work with designers including Claire Barrow, Roisin Pierce, Nicklas Skovgaard, Alighieri and A.Roege Hove, with her current role including the strategic implementation and growth of CPHFW NEWTALENT, aimed to foster and grow young designer businesses in the Nordics. 

Olya Kuryshchuk is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of 1 Granary, a leading global fashion education platform and creative network. With a focus on fashion design, 1 Granary uses its print, digital content, events, recruitment and brand development program to drive positive change in the fashion industry and provide practical resources for the next generation of creative minds. Through the unique designer network built through 1 Granary, Olya is one of the industry’s leading experts in talent acquisition and development, scouting design talent and building holistic brand strategy, ranging from design and production to communication and marketing.

Emily Chan is the Senior Sustainability & Features Editor at British Vogue and covers all things related to sustainability in fashion and beyond, from the designers pushing for change to the climate activists we should be paying attention to.
