Entrepreneurial talk: How to be(come) an effective founder with Seb Haire (Google)

Sebastian Haire is as Head of Startup Strategic Partnerships and Deep Tech at Google Cloud, where he drives partnerships with startups and VCs in the UK and Ireland. With experience across Europe, Asia, and Australia, he founded two AI startups, with one successful exit. Before Google, he led AI adoption initiatives at Google for major EMEA clients. Seb's experience includes roles at Salesforce, and he's an active angel investor in tech ventures like Protect Duty Risk Solutions and ProFinda. Drawing on his expertise in AI, cloud technologies, and startup ecosystems, he'll offer tips on efficiently managing founder tasks without missing any crucial step.

This workshop will showcase essential strategies to attract, hire and retain the best talent for your startup. This session will cover building a strong employer brand, effective recruitment processes and fostering a positive team culture.

Technical talk: Blockchain, inside and out with Jorik Schellekens (Nethermind)

Nethermind boasts a world-class team of builders and researchers with expertise in Ethereum, protocol engineering, layer 2 scaling, decentralized finance, smart contract development, and enterprise blockchain. We offer technology, R&D, and consulting services for blockchain and DeFi businesses. Our team actively contributes to Ethereum core development and supports numerous Ethereum projects to advance the ecosystem. Collaborating with outstanding partners like StarkWare, POA, EWF, Baseline, Provide, and many others, Nethermind is shaping the future of blockchain and DeFi.

This workshop will explore blockchain technology, covering theory and practice. You’ll learn about consensus mechanisms, security protocols, and vulnerabilities. You’ll examine real-world applications, their setup, and surrounding ecosystems. The session will conclude with guidance for new blockchain projects, highlighting key launch considerations.
