About

King's Entrepreneurship Lab (E-Lab), is an initiative of King's College Cambridge, launched in September 2021, made possible by a generous donation from Malcolm McKenzie (KC 1977). In 2022, a generous gift from David Sainsbury (KC 1959) and the Gatsby Charitable Foundation helped us to expand our activities, scope and impact.

Our purpose

Our aim is to foster innovation and cultivate a community of entrepreneurial minds at the heart of the University of Cambridge. We strive to be a pioneer in entrepreneurship and innovation education, learning, and research. Our mission is twofold:

  1. To equip students from all backgrounds with vital entrepreneurial skills

  2. To empower aspiring innovators, entrepreneurs, and business leaders

Our activities

We achieve our purpose through a wide range of activities spanning both commercial and social ventures:

Open to all

Believing that entrepreneurship takes many forms, we're expanding entrepreneurial education beyond the Judge Business School. Our inclusive environment welcomes students from all disciplines, embracing anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit—those eager to challenge the status quo and reimagine the world. We aim to give these innovative thinkers the opportunity to develop skills crucial for thriving in today's dynamic business world, regardless of their academic background.
