Year-end special Workshop and Pizzas with Nethermind

Year-end special Workshop and Pizzas with Nethermind

You are warmly invited to a year-end special workshop closing the “Weekly Brunches” initiative, a series of events held every Saturday. These events aim to provide students with guidance, connections, and support in bringing their ideas to life over the year. The events begin with a brunch, followed by two streams of (1) entrepreneurial and (2) technical workshops. The objective is to bring together students who have diverse backgrounds but share entrepreneurial ambitions, and to support the best projects with opportunities for publication, hackathons, incubation, or other forms of implementation.

Julian Sutherland, head of formal verification at Nethermind, with experience with several major tech companies including Facebook, Google, and Microsoft, will discuss the increasing importance of formal verification for security, its financial implications, and the unique aspects of blockchain that not only benefit from formal verification but also contribute to its advancement and relevance across other fields. The workshop is especially suitable for students with technical background.

These events are co-hosted with the Cambridge Blockchain Society.

WHEN: Saturday, 25 May 2024, 12 - 2 pm
WHERE: King's
College, Cambridge

TICKETS: To attend the workshop, please message the Weekly Brunches Telegram group.
