MedTech: Owlstone Medical Ltd

Billy Boyle is a Cambridge engineering graduate that co-founded Owlstone Inc to develop FAIMS technology. After his wife's late cancer diagnosis, he focused on medical applications. This led to Owlstone Medical, which aims to save 100,000 lives and $1.5B in healthcare costs through Breath Biopsy technology for early disease detection.

Owlstone Medical partners with institutions like Cleveland Clinic and Astra Zeneca, has over 100 publications, and secured $150M in investment.

Billy has received numerous awards, including an MBE in 2021, and holds positions at Cambridge institutions. He's active in cancer research committees, fundraising and E-Lab - as entrepreneur-in-residence.

LegalTech: Safe Sign Technologies, acquired by Thomson Reuters

Alexander Samuel Kardos-Nyheim is a Cambridge law graduate that co-founded Safe Sign Technologies, and led this startup to acquisition while serving at A&O Shearman. He also founded The Cambridge Journal of Law, Politics, and Art, and leads several public campaigns and initiatives.

Grace Lee is a senior applied research scientist at Thomson Reuters in London, UK. Before joining Thomson Reuters, she contributed her expertise at Amazon Alexa in Cambridge, UK. Grace has been recognized with several awards, including the 1st prize in the Samsung Electronics internship. She actively participates as a Program Committee (PC) member for top-tier Information Retrieval (IR) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) conferences.
