Inside the Cup: Jens Knoop on the Magic of Chocolate

Knoops is the ultimate hot chocolate haven, where you can customise your perfect cup from a range of chocolate percentages—whether you like it silky and sweet or dark and intense. Founded by chocolate connoisseur Jens Knoop, this cozy shop turns hot chocolate into an art form, offering everything from classic creamy blends to adventurous flavours with spices and plant-based milks. It's basically a chocolate lover’s dream, one sip at a time! 🍫☕✨

The King's E-Lab is hosting the founder of Knoops Hot Chocolate, Jens Knoops, alongside its current CEO, William Gordon Harris, to talk all things chocolate: flavours, pairings, and the craft behind the perfect cup.

Speaker's Profiles:

Jens Knoop is the founder of Knoops. By founding the brand in 2013, Jens was able to fulfil a lifelong ambition to combine his passion for chocolate, exceptional customer service as well as the creation of a unique concept. For over a decade, Jens has been deeply involved in global opinion research which led to invaluable insights to consumer behaviour.

Adding this to his extensive product knowledge from farm to store level and multiple plantation trips to South America and Africa, he has now become a prolific keynote speaker and panellist at national and international chocolate conventions.

William Gordon Harris is the CEO and Executive Director of Knoops. He is an experienced entrepreneur and early-stage seed investor. He has incubated and ran start-up businesses in finance, insurance and real estate. He holds a MSc in Real Estate Investment Finance and has developed multiple new build and redevelopment projects, winning prizes for design and construction.

William discovered Knoops in Rye and took a major stake in the business restructuring it ready for growth in 2019. He initially planned to spend one year incubating and integrating the team before stepping back. The growth, performance and opportunity for a global brand to be built has led William to devote his energy and ambition solely to Knoops.

This event is being run jointly with KCSU as part of their well-being program during the revision period. Goodies will be provided and an exam resource table will be set-up before and after the event.
