Social Entrepreneurship & Pitching Skills with Ira Guha

Social Entrepreneurship & Pitching Skills with Ira Guha

Ira Guha (KC 2011) is the founder of Asan, a social enterprise with a mission to eradicate period poverty and tampon waste. Asan's patented reusable menstrual cup was designed at the Harvard Innovation Lab to be the world's easiest menstrual cup to use. Each Asan cup averts the waste of 2,500 pads or tampons, and for every cup they sell, Asan donates one for free to someone in rural India who cannot access safe period care. Ira won the King's Entrepreneurship Prize in 2019 and has gone on to raise seed funding from angels and impact investors.

This workshop will be divided into two parts:

  1. Workshop on social entrepreneurship: how to launch, fund and grow a scale a social impact business.

  2. Workshop on pitching skills: how to communicate your mission and vision to a range of different audiences, including elevator pitches, storytelling and creating a pitch deck.

Feel free to attend either, or both, workshops.
