This event is part of the Weekly Brunches with Workshops series. Read more about the programme here.
Entrepreneurial talk: Honest Guide to Raising Capital with Michelangelo Valtancoli (Stealth Founder & Angel Investor)
Michelangelo Valtancoli was Principal at seed stage fund Stride.VC ($300m AUM) under the mentorship of Fred Destin. He's now investing as an angel alongside two unicorn founders and focusing on creating a convergence point for young undiscovered talents.
In this session, the goal is to be brutally honest about the reality of raising capital. Michelangelo will share what VCs actually care about, where and why they might be wrong, and how to play them. He’ll also cover the different funding choices you have (VC, angel, grants, family offices, venture studios, accelerators, ...) and how to not get caught up in the industry nonsense.
Technical talk: Prediction of flight delay and flight price using airlines data and AI.with Aditi Goswami (Boeing)
This workshop explores the power of data-driven insights in the aviation industry. Using open-source airline data, you’ll learn how to identify the most influential features for predicting flight delays and pricing. The session will cover the use of ML models to make these predictions and explore key metrics to evaluate their accuracy and performance. You’ll gain insights into feature selection, predictive modeling, and AI applications in aviation.
Aditi Goswami is a Lead Data Scientist at Boeing, where she leads projects, develops AI-driven solutions, and mentors teams. Previously, she worked at Telespazio UK and Microsoft, where she gained extensive AI and Computer Vision experience. She has worked with satellite remote sensing, applying AI to analyse imagery for real-world applications.
