In Conversation with Adam Swersky (Social Finance) on How to Design, Fund and Scale Better Solutions to Challenging Social Problems
Adam Swersky is the CEO of Social Finance. He was appointed to the role in March 2022 and has been with the organisation since 2014, most recently as Director for the Health + Work team and the Government + Enterprise team. In 2016, Adam created the world’s first social impact bond to support people with health issues into work. In 2019, he launched a national infrastructure support programme for mental health and employment services across the NHS in England (IPS Grow).
Adam was previously a Project Leader at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he advised private, public and not-for-profit organisations on strategy and transformation. This included helping to set up Frontline, the children’s social work charity, and co-authoring a report on future social investment demand. During his time at BCG, Adam was seconded to the Clinton Health Access Initiative, where he worked in West Africa to support Niger to access a subsidy for malaria medication.
